    Hong Kong cinema expert Bey Logan delivers a feature-length commentary on the fan favourite Jackie Chan kung fu epic ‘SNAKE AND CRANE ARTS OF SHAOLIN’.

    Author, film producer and Hong Kong cinema historian Bey Logan is well known for his work as Hong Kong cinema’s pre-eminent commentarian, and has provided fact-filled, entertaining talk tracks for dozens of Asian actioners.

    Now he continues his long-awaited return to the mic, and on camera, with this exclusive series of original commentaries, in which YOU get to sit down and watch your favourite kung fu movie with insights from a true expert in the field!

    We continue our series with the 1978 kung fu flick ‘Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin’, starring a young Jackie Chan, directed by his long-time cohort Chen Chi-hwa and produced by Chan’s mentor Lo Wei. Though dismissed on first release, the movie has undergone a reappraisal in the wake of its recent blu ray re-releases. Bey gives ‘Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin’ the detailed, in-depth commentary it deserves!

    Bey Logan is a Hong Kong-based producer who has produced 26 films, acted in 22, written 15 and directed 1. His most famous projects include Jackie Chan’s ‘The Medallion’, Sammo Hung’s ‘Dragon Squad’, Donnie Yen’s ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny’ and Veronica Ngo’s ‘Furie’.

    Bey is equally well known for his work as Hong Kong cinema’s pre-eminent commentarian, and has provided fact-filled, entertaining talk tracks for dozens of Asian actioners.

    Now he returns to the mic for this exclusive series of original commentaries, in which YOU get to sit down and watch your favourite kung fu movie with insights from a true expert in the field!

    We start our series with “Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow”, a classic kung fu movie starring Jackie Chan. This was the film that made Jackie a star, and is actually one title for which Bey has NEVER recorded a commentary, making this an exclusive opportunity to get his thoughts and insights on this ground-breaking masterpiece of martial arts cinema.

    Hong Kong cinema expert Bey Logan delivers a new feature-length commentary for the classic Jet Li film ‘Tai Chi Master’

    ‘Tai Chi Master’ stars and was produced by kung fu movie superstar Jet Li, and co-stars action queen Michelle Yeoh. It was directed by the great Yuen Woo-ping. Bey’s commentary track for the film takes you scene by scene through the Yuen Woo-ping-directed martial arts movie, defining the movie’s cast, locations and styles.

    We continue our audio commentary series with “To Kill With Intrigue”, the lost wu xia epic from a young Jackie Chan. Shot in scenic South Korea, this film paired Jackie with swordplay queen Hsu Feng.  It is actually one title for which neither Bey nor anyone else has EVER recorded a commentary, making this an exclusive opportunity to get some fresh insights into this challenging swordplay drama.

    We continue our series with “Wu Xia” AKA “Drag0n”, a brilliant, recent kung fu movie starring Donnie Yen. Directed by master film-maker Peter Chan and choreographed by Yen, this is one title for which neither Bey or anyone else has EVER recorded a commentary, making this an exclusive opportunity to get unique insights on this ground-breaking masterwork of martial arts cinema.

    The live Zoom commentary will include a screening of the film, followed by a Q-and-A session with Bey.
