‘The Association’ casts Angela Mao alongside LA-based Korean martial arts master Byong Yu, here making his only Hong Kong movie appearance. Byong Yu enjoyed sterling support from his countryman Whang In-chik, co-star of ‘Hapkido’. The film’s choreography was provided by Whang and the legendary Sammo Hung.
Directed by another Korean, ‘King Boxer’ helmer Cheng Chang-ho, ‘The Association’ pulls out all the stops to daze, amaze and entertain.
