The film is set in Canada. A cash-strapped, washed up boxer accepts an offer to marry a Chinese immigrant girl to help her earn citizenship. When they find themselves victims of a con artist, this mismatched couple must use all their wits and talents to earn a living and stay one step ahead of a criminal gang. Hong Kong action fans will recognise Dick Wei as the gang’s leader and Bill Chow as a rival boxer.

Director Alfred Cheung delivers romantic character comedy against the Canadian backdrop, with Sammo providing the expected martial arts action beats.
